Video Lounge

Welcome to the Spektator's Video Lounge - a patchy collection of amateurish videos showcasing the glories of Kyrgyzstan.

More videos will be added soon!

Karakol
A brief look at the town of Karakol, the capital of Issyk Kul oblast: The Russian Orthodox Cathedral, a bearded man driving a horse buggy, the charming Yaktours Guesthouse, and the Dungan Mosque.

Karakol to Altyn Arashan
The trip up to Altyn Arashan Valley in a Soviet jeep is quite an experience!

Hiking in the Altyn Arashan Valley
Climbing an unknown mountain without a map in the Altyn Arashan Valley, near Karakol.

The Burana Tower (to a Rockin' Komuz Beat)
The Burana Tower is reputed to be nearly a thousand years old. The top may have fallen off, but it's still well worth a look.

The Squinters play Tequila Blues

The Spektator was proud to sponsor the recent hastily organised concert by The Squinters at Tequila Blues Bar, an event that further strengthened Anglo-Kyrgo-Welsh relations and  wasn't quite as bad as it might have been. Video contains gratuitous foul language and loutish behaviour.
